On November 26, 2025, a major Level 5 fire broke out at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong. The rapid spread of the fire has touched the hearts of people across the region. To date, this tragedy has claimed 128 lives, with approximately 200 others unaccounted for. Countless families have been shattered, and numerous Hong Kong residents are enduring the profound grief of losing loved ones. In the face of this devastating disaster, all colleagues at Loongwa are deeply sorrowful. We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the fire, our sincere sympathies to the families of the victims and the injured, and our highest respect to the Hong Kong Fire Services Department personnel and all rescuers who fought bravely on the frontlines.
During the fire, intense flames and high temperatures, combined with burning scaffolding and falling debris, posed immense challenges to the rescue efforts. Firefighters charged forward fearlessly in extreme conditions exceeding 500 degrees Celsius, embodying responsibility and dedication through their professionalism and perseverance. Though disaster is ruthless, humanity is kind. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government promptly activated an emergency response and set up condolence venues across the city for the public to pay their respects. This spirit of mutual assistance transcends boundaries, giving us strength in sorrow.
As a key hub connecting the Mainland and the world for trade and commerce, Hong Kong has long been one of the core hubs for Loongwa’s international trade operations. We have collaborated closely with numerous Hong Kong clients and partners over the years, forging deep friendships through frequent business interactions. Hong Kong’s development is closely intertwined with our company’s growth. Upon learning that some partners and clients may have been affected by the disaster, we have immediately launched a special liaison mechanism to fully assess the safety of relevant personnel and the impact on business operations. We will do our utmost to provide necessary support and assistance to affected partners, standing together through this difficult time.
To express our deep sorrow for the victims, Loongwa hereby announces:
- From the date of this announcement until December 1, our official website and social media pages will adopt a black-and-white color scheme;
- All non-essential commercial promotions and celebratory activities scheduled for the near future will be canceled;
- A moment of silence will be observed by all employees on November 29 to mourn the deceased.
Grief may leave indelible marks, but hope has never faded away. We firmly believe that with the united efforts of the Hong Kong community and the effective response of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Hong Kong residents will surely overcome this disaster and rebuild their homes. Loongwa will always stand with Hong Kong residents. We will support post-disaster reconstruction efforts with practical actions, continue to deepen our presence in the Hong Kong market, and work hand in hand with local economic and trade partners to contribute to Hong Kong’s prosperity and stability.
May the deceased rest in peace, and the survivors stay strong. May Hong Kong emerge from the haze and regain its vitality soon.
