Important Notice: New EU Import Charges and Shipping Quotation Adjustments
Effective November 1, 2026
Dear Valued Customers, Dealers, Distributors, and Business Partners,
Loongwa would like to inform all customers and business partners of important changes to European Union customs regulations affecting certain goods shipped from outside the EU.
As part of the EU customs reform, new import charges will take effect on November 1, 2026. These changes may affect the total cost of orders, international shipping quotations, and customs clearance arrangements.
1. New EU Import Charges
The updated regulations introduce two separate charges:
- €3 Temporary Customs Duty: Effective July 1, 2026, this duty applies per distinct customs-declared item in qualifying shipments valued at €150 or less.
- €2 EU Handling Fee: Effective November 1, 2026, an additional fee applies per distinct declared item in qualifying e-commerce shipments from outside the EU, regardless of shipment value.
For qualifying shipments valued at €150 or less, the combined charges generally amount to €5 per distinct declared item, excluding applicable VAT and other customs-related costs.
These charges are not necessarily calculated per order, parcel, or individual product unit. The final amount depends on the shipment’s contents, customs classification, declared value, and applicable regulations.
Shipments exceeding €150 remain subject to applicable standard customs duties, together with the new EU handling fee.
2. Important Reminder for Dealers and Business Partners
We strongly advise all Loongwa dealers, distributors, resellers, and business partners to review and update their shipping quotations and order cost estimates for EU-bound shipments immediately.
When preparing new quotations or confirming orders, please:
- Review the applicable customs duties, handling fees, VAT, and other import-related expenses.
- Recalculate shipping quotations and estimated total delivery costs where necessary.
- Confirm the relevant shipping terms and responsibility for import charges with logistics providers.
- Clearly communicate any applicable additional costs to customers before confirming orders.
- Recheck outstanding quotations and pending shipments to avoid unexpected expenses or misunderstandings.
Partners fulfilling orders directly to EU consumers should pay particular attention to the new requirements.
Please note that the applicable charges may vary depending on product classification, shipment value, and delivery arrangements. A fixed €5 adjustment per order may not accurately reflect the actual import costs.
3. Information for EU Customers
Customers receiving orders from outside the EU may experience changes in their total purchase or delivery costs.
Depending on the shipping arrangements, applicable import charges may be included at checkout or collected through the relevant customs or delivery process.
These charges arise from EU regulatory requirements and are not discretionary fees introduced by Loongwa.
We encourage customers to review their order details and applicable shipping terms before completing their purchases.
4. Our Commitment
Loongwa remains committed to transparent pricing, reliable international shipping, and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and business partners.
We will continue monitoring regulatory developments and working with our logistics partners to support efficient shipping arrangements and minimize unnecessary costs wherever possible.
We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all customers, dealers, distributors, and partners as these changes take effect.
For questions regarding shipping quotations, existing orders, or potential import charges, please contact the Loongwa team.
Thank you for your continued trust and support.
